Lower Gibsons Parking

This past summer I was down in lower Gibsons meeting a friend for lunch.  There was no parking to be had in the east section,  but what really caught my eye was the fact that the Bank of Montreal was towing cars from their parking lot.  Now let me state up front that they are perfectly within their rights to do so.  There is no point in having a parking lot if your customers can't use it.  More importantly it just shows you how bad parking is in lower Gibsons during the summer months.  But I believe towing cars gives the town a bad image.  Ten to one the people towed were tourists just trying to have lunch!

Now I found parking, lots of parking, in the two blocks just east of lower Gibsons.  It got me to thinking, why can't we do what BC Ferries does and have a summer student at the east end of lower Gibsons directing people to available parking?

It would make the town a lot more friendly to tourists and to local alike!
