Oct 8, 2002 Revising Gibsons' Dog Bylaw For the last several months our town has been attempting revise it's Dog Bylaw to reflect changes in the law with regard to Dangerous dogs and Guard Dogs. Town staff proposed Bylaw 930 - as the solution to Councils concerns. I had my own concerns with what was in the bylaw and more importantly, what was not. I presented my concerns to council in a document I called My Amendments to Dog by law 930 . I subsequently made a presentation to Gibsons Council using the points contained in The PowerPoint presentation Amendments to dog by law 930. based on this presentation Council sent the bylaw back to committee and the matter was dealt with today. The bottom-line was that the committee recommended that staff make two very important changes to Proposed Bylaw 930. The first change centers around making parks dog friendly and the second recognizes certain dogs as medically necessary and thus exempt from Dog Licensing Fees,
