Report: Comparison of On Time Statistics

Notes:

  • Report Columns
    • Period - The report is grouped by Schedule time period
    • Route - The report is sub grouped by route.  Departures form all major terminals in the South are shown.
    • Departures - Total number of departures for which data was collected.
    • Actual - number of departures expressed as a percentage  of total departures which actually sailed on time.
    • E - 10 - (departing early to 10 Minutes Late)  It is my contention that customers find a 10 minute  delay acceptable.  Bus schedules are not effected appreciably and connections to other ferries can usually be arranged.
    • E - 20 - (Departing early to 20 minutes late)  BC Ferries states that a twenty delay is acceptable to travelling public and reports as on time any delay in the window departs early to departs up to and including minutes late.
